The Trans-Atlantic Splicing Project is an ongoing, decidedly non-culminating collaboration between Kati Payne and Anna Dighero, a London-based mover and thinker. This all-encompassing team effort moves through eras of movement, writing, audio, video, and other mediums, all in service of Anna + Kati's goal of creating duets in the virtual realm, pretending to be together. I am determined to be a student for life. I work by way of collisions, using intersections and points of crossing as support structures and guiding infrastructure for my work. I am in pursuit of making work that circulates rather than being deposited, disperses in a way that can never be assembled, passes from my hands to the hands of the receivers fully and irreversibly. I hope for audiences that activate, self-curate, approach my work at-will, audiences who are willing to be encapsulated in lineages, who are willing to be inextricable from the experiences the work holds space for.
